VOYAGR hit the Buffalo music scene with their first EP, Think Of You, in 2022. The group initially formed as a passion project for songwriters AJ Jabaji (rhythm guitar, vocals), Rachel Josey (vocals), and John Morano (drums), but soon grew to be a full band with the addition of Drew Shannon (bass) and Joe Brown (lead guitar). Since then they've been on a steady rise, continuing to release music and performing at large festivals locally and beyond, including this summer's Taste of Country. On Wednesday, November 26th, VOYAGR will release their debut album, Born a Believer, accompanied by a show at Buffalo Iron Works.
Chelsea O. chatted with the band about the release of their debut album, songwriting while on a flight home, their aim to delve into themes of faith, loss, and connection, and much more.

The sixth annual Southern Tier Wounded Warrior Benefit Concert welcomed three musical acts to perform live for hundreds of community members who gathered Sunday at Good Times of Olean to support veterans.
Col. Patrick Miller, an Allegany native and event organizer, said it was a wonderful day with a great turnout and great weather for the concert.
“It rained in the morning and then cleared up in plenty of time for a beautiful day and night,” Miller told the Times Herald on Wednesday.
The lineup of live performances included the Nashville-based country music duo LOCASH, rising country star Greylan James from Knoxville, Tenn., and VØYAGR, a folk-country act from Buffalo.
The sixth annual Southern Tier Wounded Warrior Benefit will be held from 3-9 p.m., Sunday, July 27, at Good Times of Olean.
Col. Patrick Miller, an Allegany native who was seriously wounded in a domestic terror attack at Fort Hood in 2014, is back at the helm of this year’s benefit — at a new venue.
The annual benefit began in 2014, but was sidelined for three years due to Covid 19. Last year’s benefit concert was held at Bradner Stadium after several years at Firemen’s Field in Allegany.
This year’s performers include headliner LOCASH from Nashville, up-and-coming national recording artist singer-songwriter Greylan James, and Buffalo-based VOYAGR.
